Resumen

The political instability events observed in major parts of the westernworld, in some Northern Africa countries as well as the Middle East in theso called Arab Spring in 2011, either were inluenced by the most recentworld inancial crisis or affected the recovery process of economic activity.In this essay, the relationship between political stability and economicgrowth is revisited in order to contribute to the debate on the necessaryactions to improve the reach of public policy in the long run.
